As humans, we are powerful and amazing works of art! Just think for a moment about all of the things your body does every second that we don’t even think about: your heart beats, your nerves respond, your lungs breathe, your synapses fire, your blood sugar regulates, hormones are created, viruses are attacked. All of this happens without your conscious effort.

Now think for a moment about all of the thoughts that happen every second without ‘you’. There are subconscious thoughts that are running all of the time!

We are powerful and amazing works of art and as such, we can complicate things way more than they need to be!

Cleaning out our stuff can be both overwhelming and freeing all at the same time.

Both can be challenging and both are well worth the effort.

Personally, in the last few years, I’ve gone from living in an 1800 sq ft house (with lots of stuff) to a 900 sq ft apartment, to a 300 sq ft fifth wheel. We had to get rid of a lot of stuff and in that purging, we found the things that were really important to us. It’s now a daily mindset. ‘Do I love this new thing so much that I’m willing to get rid of something I already have?’ Sometimes the answer is yes and other times it’s not. Simply put, simplifying the stuff around me has made my life more enjoyable.

Things can be easier to purge but how do we get rid of the thoughts and mental programs that are no longer serving us? Simply put, use your mind. 😉

Hypnosis can be a great way to quickly and easily reprogram our brain so that we really can get down to the basics of life. The things that truly make us happy!

So today, pick one drawer or box or corner or room to declutter. Hold each thing in your hand and ask “does this spark my joy?”. If it doesn’t they why are you still holding on to it?
